Why a Truck Needs a Different Battery

What battery group size does my truck need?
Heavy-duty trucks most commonly use JIS N150/N200 (models 145G51/190H52) or DIN88/DIN100 batteries depending on the market. North American vehicles use BCI Group 31 (available on request). Confirm the group size on your existing battery or in the vehicle manual.
Do heavy-duty trucks use 12V or 24V systems?
Most semi trucks and heavy commercial vehicles use 24V systems (two 12V batteries in series); light trucks and pickups use 12V. Check your vehicle specification before ordering.
How much CCA does a diesel truck battery need?
Diesel engines need high CCA. Heavy-duty trucks commonly require 800–1100+ CCA depending on engine size and climate — colder climates need more. Confirm the exact figure in your vehicle manual.
